What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a collaborative process where a trained supervisor supports and guides practitioners in their professional development.

This practice is recognized across various professional bodies, including the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and is essential for those holding the Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation.

We offer virtual individual/dyadic or group clinical supervision at Canadian Counselling Services.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is provided by an experienced, seasoned therapist who provides guidance and oversight to therapists or trainees. This relationship is designed to enhance the quality of the therapist’s clinical work, ensure ethical practice, and promote professional development. Key aspects include education/training, clinical case review, skill development, ethical considerations, personal development, cultural competence, support and well-being.
